Father’s Day Poem

The rock can only write of its stillness
Silence allows a man
To be conscious of existence

The soil can only write of what takes root
A drop of rain allows a man
To bloom

The bee can only write of its honey
A daisy allows a man
To touch the sun

The grass can only write of its green
The weeds allow a man
To comprehend the contrast between love and hate

Creation can only write of creation
Offspring allows a man
To be a father
